Sweet Almond Oil is pressed from the kernels of Prunus dulcis and is one of the most widely used carrier oils in aromatherapy. Pale golden in colour with a mild, faintly nutty aroma, it has a smooth texture that gives an even glide across the skin, which is why it is a long-standing favourite for massage work.
As a base oil it dilutes essential oils and absolutes ready for use in massage blends, bath and body oils and other cosmetic preparations. On its own it makes a simple conditioning oil that leaves skin feeling soft and supple.
