Vetivert Essential Oil is steam distilled from the roots of the tropical grass Vetiveria zizanioides. It is a thick, amber oil with a deep, earthy, smoky and woody aroma, and sits as a rich base note in a blend.
It is highly valued in natural perfumery as a fixative that helps anchor and hold lighter scents. In aromatherapy blending it combines beautifully with sandalwood, patchouli, rose, lavender and ylang ylang, and its grounding aroma suits use in a diffuser or vaporiser.
Supplied in a 10ml bottle. For external aromatherapy use only. Always dilute well in a carrier oil before applying to the skin, keep away from the eyes and do not take internally.
